Joe college

My college plans are to try to get into an 4 year university but if I couldnt go I would go to a 2 year college then later transfer to a 4 year university. I know my struggle will be applying for colleges and beating the deadline, which is not to far apart from the start. I also know that I will have to apply for more than 5 colleges.

I AM..

I am Hilda Doolittle, I was born on Sept. 10, 1886, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. My mother was a Moravian, and my dad was an astronaut. I have published both fiction and nonfiction poetry writings on both sides of the Atlantic. I like to write imagist poetry. I've had a romantic relationship with Ezra Pound who writes his own poetry.

Modernism is arguably one the most important time periods in literature. Schools throw a little bit of modernism in their students face threw books, such as a poem all Richard Cory by Edwin Arlington, a story called The First Seven Years, and a novel called Fahrenheit 451. Modernist are unique because they care about the inner self and consciousness. Although modernism is referred as low art, for the people, they show many good styles of writing. Modernist kind of have a different mindset because they came from an older generation, which was 1900's-1965's. modernist writers use deceptive appearances hiding the difficult truth. Just as it was shown in the poem Richard Cory when the character was rich and living a good life as king, but in the end killed himself. He had this weird Thought of a cynical future. This poem also has no disruptive rhymes just as a modernist would write an imagist poem. Even though it was low art a lot of people would say modernist purposely and self consciously designed modernism. The First Seven Years is another perfect modernist story. It shows the difference in generation on how much it changed, almost like a departure from tradition. And of course it had the difficult truths, and was a low art. This story shows lots of imagist ideas. Fahrenheit 451 a novel by Ray Bradbury has some of the strongest signs of modernism. The author shows a bleak vision of the future. It also shows a touch with the inner and outer self of the world, and with a stream of consciousness. Fahrenheit 451 shows an industrial society, free thinking. The characters in this novel are deceptive because they change up and fool you well least expect it. Obviously, Modernism is an important part of literature. It has many different types of writing styles. Modernist created more feelings for the reader to catch as far as suspense and shock etc.

writing modernism in your present time is always going to be different then the few years before because people create history everyday, and the world has helped me write by changing the way i think and react about certain things.

My Modernist

I wanted to do my report on Han Nolan but later I found out that she is not a modernist author. So instead i will be doing my report on Hilda Doolittle because her main style of writing is poetry, which is something I enjoy.
